Seriously, it's officially become a problem for me. Now I can't even post the next set of polls for the Miss Jackshack tournament. When I set up the polls the only thing I've been posting in the body are the images created by Deadringer, and I haven't had a problem with that so far, but now it's saying there are not enough words. I think it's cooler the way I've been doing it, with just the banner representing the match posted with the poll, but now it wants more words. I'm sure there's some sort of technical reason for this, but I think it's very lame. Can we do something about it?

This "feature" was added about two months ago. We didn't do it to annoy our members, but to prevent people from posting meaningless one- or two-word comments a la "mmmm", "fuck yeah", "hot", etc. Comments like that aren't entertaining at all, they are replaceable and have no reference to a post, so we decided to add a minimum word requirement. I'd say the quality of replies has increased since then.

I agree that it doesn't always work the way it's supposed to, though. For some (unknown) reason, it sometimes is possible to post only one word, other times you can't post 100 pics without an additional text.

Yeah, I figured it was for something like that. But as you pointed out, it doesn't always work, because I've noticed a few one-word replies and then wondered why it let them post a short reply when I can't. I've apparently somehow been able to bypass this feature when I created the last 12 polls for the tournament, so I was shocked when I tried posting the next four tonight and it wouldn't let me just put the image in the post like I've been doing.

Honestly, it's now came down to what annoys me more:  the "not enough words" filter Vs. People who only post one word replies.

I'll probably just turn it off.  When I get around to it, I have to manually set it for each board.  Also, the miss jackshack tournament didn't have a limit for a while (something that I didn't catch) and I just set ALL boards to 3 words (down from 5) as the minimum.  It still annoys me too...

If you do it by individual boards, then couldn't you just turn it off for the Miss Jackshack board? It's sort of a good idea for the most part, but it doesn't seem necessary for that board.
